The enjoyable part of designing a plan is in finding a descriptive fit for the elements. My favorites are, (threshold) enough to keep the lights on, (target) well done, and (maximum) outrageous and extraordinary. Culture and fit are everything for the success of an incentive plan.

Great perspective. Sometimes I wonder if the terms we use are perceived by employees and executives in the ways we have intended.
