An important topic. Not every company wants superstars, or they do for the wrong reasons, or they do but their hiring managers prefer someone more 'manageable.' Great advice to figure out what kinds of talent you actually want, look ahead at where you see superstars going in the company, and making sure compensation is appropriate to the talent you're trying to attract.
