Great article Jim. I like the analogy of the house painter. I think there are so many HR programs out there that even HR gets confused. We should throw them all out into the yard --- then examine each one carefully before we let it back in the house. Let's be ready to give up our "warm blankies"!

If you like that one, Jacque, you should love my continual reference to "binky programs" whose only virtues are the sense of comfort, continuity and security they give Senior Leaders.
