Interesting. The managers I have worked with understand regional differences in pay in the US. It doesn't matter what the manager in NYC gets paid in relation to the manager in St Louis but where their pay falls within the pay range for their region.

At last some real truth to it. I have been working across a variety of countries over the years with people thinking that it was easy just to swamp USD for GBP etc. Either they just ignore differences in the world or really do not understand that life is different elsewhere (likely the 1st option ;)) The last regions where I had similar issues was the Middle East, it is easier not to think of the actual taxation, cola's etc than to establish a proper balance sheet contract. Thank you for sharing :)
