We are about to embark on a project to develop job descriptions for all (or most) of the jobs in our company - about 400. There are currently a smattering here and there but not much in the way of formal uniform (or even semi-uniform) descriptions. I expect your next post to lay out everything we will need to make the project a complete success... ;).

;) Right back at you, Drew. As you'd likely expect, there's no EASY button to push, or Moses coming down from the Mount with the tablets. My next post will lay out the generic pathway forward, but in my experience each company's situation is unique in some way. And that special circumstance(s)makes a canned answer (taken off the shelf, read in a book, or even my own ramblings)not exactly what you need.

But I hope that my thoughts can help.
