Great example, Jacque! Positive feedback that expresses confidence in your competence is literally priceless. And it costs the giver nothing but a tiny withdrawal from their personal humility account. Loyalty down creates loyalty up, so it is usually repaid tenfold.

Thanks Jim. Yes verbal feedback and a thank you is worth tons more than a "dinner for two". It means -- for one thing--- that someone has actually taken his/her precious time to do so. And that is more costly to them than to give you a certificate.
