The subject is a bit threadbare. Plenty of discussions here and elsewhere. We agree with you and have heard the advice a thousand times.

A recurring lesson that management refuses to heed is hardly threadbare. If it were the ancient tired old status quo pay secrecy practice thoughtlessly repeated out of traditional followership, you might have a point, Harold. I stand with Margaret, that this must become the new norm.

Since you agree with the need for transparency, why not add ideas on how we can encourage and achieve it? Makes no sense to criticize an excellent example of why openness is inevitable. Maybe it can help persuade some of the naysayers.
