Elite teams exhibit exactly such group dynamics, Derek. Most frequently sponsored in uniformed services, they range from military units to first responder organizations. Few corporate entities have the courage to delve deeply into enabling tools that enhance personal/team development like Managerial Grid implementation and JoHari Window exercises. It's a lot easier in "uniform-wearing" organizations where a greater level of personal commitment to the group is the norm.

Here's my basic start on culture. A companies culture will be the one that the CEO believes in, acts upon and supports with a reasonable budget.

HR and Compensation professionals cannot make a culture work if the CEO does not support and embody that culture
