THANK YOU for this great article. I am sure I will refer people to it many times in the future.

Great post, Stephanie, and very helpful. I can especially relate to those sites who present a sophisticated graphics product that generates "oohs and ahhs," but upon closer look are based on highly questionable data.

To some though, its enough just to have an answer, a number to show. They don't look behind the curtain (fancy tools) to actually validate the results.
