Sometimes stock options can be ruff to explain.

... and they can bite.

Some of the most 'fun' and successful compensation 'adventures' Pat and I helped implemented included broadly distributed options partnering with extensive 'education programs' that showed what makes the organization successful and what stock ownership means. The social value of options is as powerful as the economic value if education is part of implementation.
