Thank you for this posting Chuck! I needed to see this today. I work for a large organization (over 60K employees). As a Comp Mgr in the COE of the organization, one of my service areas refuses to collaborate with me for "they handle compensation." If they did it well, great for them. However, that is not the case. Sadly, the organization enables this behavior for not only for comp but for the other HR specialties as well.
It has led me to search for other opportunities where I will be respected.
