Laura Schroeder has more than twelve years of experience designing, developing, implementing and evangelizing Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions in the US, Asia and Europe. She began her career as supply chain consultant with Accenture before joining PeopleSoft. During her tenure at PeopleSoft she wore many hats, including development manager, compensation specialist, global project lead, consultant coach and HCM Product Strategy Manager for Central Europe. She has managed large successful projects for global companies and understands the challenges of implementing a global HCM system, in particular when it comes to compensation.
Laura joined Workday in 2006, where she designed a competitive compensation solution that consolidates employee base and variable compensation across multiple plans and geographies and supports the requirements of multinational organizations. She loves working with compensation professionals in all industries and countries, understanding their challenges and working out solutions that can help make their jobs easier.
Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs from Lewis & Clark College and a Master of Pacific International Affairs from UCSD. Her articles and interviews on HCM topics have been published in national and European trade journals, most recently in the IHRIM Journal, and she currently writes a Talent Management blog under the name Working Girl.
